About Me: Hello, my name is Kristi Young and I have been teaching in Medina for 35 years. I have taught both at Oak Orchard Elementary and Clifford Wise Middle School.
I was born in Newfane, NY and attended Newfane Central Schools. I received a BA and Masters Degree from SUNY College at Brockport.
Besides teaching Physical Education in Medina, I have also coached several sports. I have coached modified and varsity swimming, jv and varsity softball. But my true passion is field hockey. I coached jv for 1 year and the varsity team for 27 years. I have also run an intramurals program for 4th thru 7th grade the last few years.
My goal in physical education is to teach children that playing and staying active is not only fun but important for their well-being.
